Ammonia Production
Process CO2 from ammonia (NH3) synthesis. In a conventional plant the CO2 originates in the integrated steam reforming of natural gas that supplies the feedstock hydrogen (see dnt-emi-src:HydrogenProduction); the Haber-Bosch loop itself, N2 + 3 H2 → 2 NH3, emits none. CO2 subsequently consumed in downstream urea production is deducted and accounted under AFOLU. Reformer and auxiliary-boiler combustion is dnt-emi-src:IndustrialFurnaces.
