Emission source
EMI › DecarbNexus Emissions Ontology
From AIM Platform Standard and Guidance, v1.0: “An emissions source is a process that releases GHG emissions into the atmosphere. Interventions reduce emissions by addressing the source directly (e.g., substituting a fossil fuel boiler with an electric boiler), or by impacting a process upstream or downstream that reduces emissions over the life cycle of a product (e.g., replacing fossil jet fuel with SAF produced by a waste feedstock).”
