Manure Management
CH4 and N2O from the storage and treatment of livestock manure before land application: anaerobic decomposition in lagoons, tanks and pits, and nitrogen losses during handling. Abated by covered lagoons and anaerobic digesters, solid separation, and shorter storage times. Manure spread on fields is accounted under managed soils, not here.
